1995 – Vector is born with just (2) employees working out of Mission Plastics North tool room.
1997 – As Vector grew with acquisitions of new machines and additional employees, there was a need for a larger shop. A new building was built to facilitate the growth of Vector, spanning about 15,000 square feet with (15) total employees.
2000 – Due to continual growth, Vector expanded their newly built shop, increasing the total square footage to 30,000 square feet with about (25) employees.
2007 – Vector began interfacing automated robots creating machining cells to increase productivity and flexibility, reducing the amount of attended time at the machines.
2016 – Vector purchases its Yasda YMC 430 5-Axis High Speed Machining Center w/3R Robot (Workmaster), one of the most accurate machines in the world . This machine allows them to machine geometry that was previously not machinable. It reduces if not eliminates the need for polishing due to the high quality of surface finish that they can achieve with the high spindle speed (40,000 RPM) and small milling cutters (down to .007″ diameter). The Yasda holds tolerances to less than .0001″!
2020 – Vector becomes a member of the American Mold Builders Association (AMBA). Vector is currently made up of (33) experienced and dedicated employees and continues to grow.
